On the Characterization of Strain Hardening Cement-based Materials by Inverse Analysis of Bending Tests

چکیده
An inverse analyses procedure for determining the mechanical material properties of strain hardening cement-based materials is presented. It allows to determine the uniaxial stressstrain curve up to the material’s localization point on the basis of the results of four-point bending tests. In these tests, the beam curvature is measured and serves as input value for the inverse analysis. An evolutionary optimization algorithm is used. It is demonstrated that the beginning of damage localization in a bending test does not necessarily lead to a decrease of the external load. Results of direct tension tests were used for validating the inverse analysis procedure.

U-Bending Analysis with an Emphasis on Influence of Hardening Models
In this paper the effect of different hardening models in simulating the U-bending process for AA5754-O and DP-Steel, taking a benchmark of NUMISHEET 93 2-D draw bending, has been discussed. The hardening models considered in simulations are: isotropic hardening, pure (linear) kinematic hardening and combined (nonlinear kinematic) hardening. The influence of hardening models on predicting sprin...

The Rotary-Draw Bending (RDB) process is a distinguished process employed for the precision cold bending of a hollow tube with small radius bends using Numerical Control (NC) machines. This research presents an analytical model based on the power law hardening model for the RDB processing of rectangular thin tubes. Based on the constraints of the tube in the dies and its thinness, the plane str...
متن کاملStrain Hardening Analysis for M-P Interaction in Metallic Beam of T-Section
This paper derives kinematic admissible bending moment – axial force (M-P) interaction relations for mild steel by considering strain hardening idealisations. Two models for strain hardening – Linear and parabolic have been considered, the parabolic model being closer to the experiments. The interaction relations can predict strains, which is not possible in a rigid, perfectly plastic idealizat...

As an emerging advanced construction material, strain hardening cementitious composite (SHCC) has seen increasing field applications in recent years. Reliable data on tensile properties, including tensile strength and tensile strain capacity, are needed for structural design and for quality control. However, existing uniaxial tensile tests are relatively complicated and sometime difficult to im...

In this paper the ratcheting behavior of carbon steel(ASTM A106B) and stainless steel(304L) elbows is studied under steady internal pressure and in-plane external moments at frequencies typical of seismic excitations. The finite element analysis with the nonlinear isotropic/kinematic (combined) hardening model has been used to evaluate ratcheting behavior of the elbows. Material parameters have...
